Panpacific University’s Benchmarking Trip Success in Thai Universities

As Panpacific University continues to uphold its internationalization reputation, the leading team went  on a benchmarking trip to Bangkok. The objective was to draw insights from Thailand's premier universities regarding their best practices in sustainability, rankings, and internationalization linkages.

The team visited four universities, starting with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). The focus here was on benchmarking drone-making practices for the School of Criminology. These drones could play a crucial role in special missions aimed at combating crimes. Some team members had the opportunity to experience the drones firsthand and were impressed by their efficiency and benefits.

On the second day, the team headed to Rangsit University to benchmark strategic planning in internationalization. Rangsit University presented a comprehensive plan encompassing strategies like exchange programs, re-innovations, and smart organization to enhance internationalization linkages and maintain the university's image. Simultaneously, the Panpacific University's Criminology Department, led by Dr. Mylene C. Eublera and NSTP coordinator Mr. Jasper Ian Lagasca, benchmarked the university's security management system and criminology laboratories.

The next stop was Sripatum University, known for its unique adaptation of innovation. The university showcased a conducive environment and well-prepared laboratories to meet students' needs in their future careers.

The final visit took place at Mahidol University, emphasizing green initiatives to achieve zero campus footprint. The university shared its best practices in sustainability. The team also visited Huachiew Chalermprakiet, where Dr. Jonathan Carreon extended a warm welcome and shared the university's best practices in international rankings.

Armed with a wealth of knowledge, the Panpacific University Sustainability team returned to the Philippines. Additionally, the four universities extended opportunities for international collaboration through Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with Panpacific University.

The benchmarking trip, led by Dr. Engelbert C. Pasag, Vice President for Internationalization and Partnerships Office at Panpacific University, concluded with heartfelt gratitude expressed to the four welcoming universities.
