Honored and grateful Panpacific University is selected among thirty (30) universities nationwide to join training under the LEADING INTERNATIONALIZATION: STRENGTHENING INSTITUTIONAL CAPACITY AND CANADA–PHILIPPINES LINKAGES project of the Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE). Panpacific University attendees are Dr. Engelbert C. Pasag, Vice President for Internationalization, Dr. Jane M. Fernandez Director of Partnership, and Mr. Kristoffer John C. Panem, OIC- Director of Internationalization.

This initiative, in partnership with the Commission on Higher Education and supported by Global Affairs Canada through the Indo-Pacific Strategy, brings together higher education leaders from across the Philippines to strengthen internationalization efforts, foster meaningful partnerships, and enhance collaboration between Canada and the Philippines.The training program consists of two components: an online and an onsite training session.

Dr. Engelbert C. Pasag is one of the panel speakers in Digital Microcredentials: Building Lifelong Learning Pathways for a Future-Ready Workforce on the event Building Bridges in Higher Education: Canada-Philippines Partnership Forum. Last March 2 , 2026.

Panpacific University attendees look forward to gaining valuable insights, strengthening institutional partnerships, and advancing their commitment to internationalization through this program. This opportunity further supports the university’s goal of building stronger academic collaborations and fostering greater global engagement in higher education.
