Dr. Virgo C. Lopez, Vice President for Academics, presented the findings of his phenomenological study on the lived experiences of high school learners in preserving the Ilocano language within multilingual families. His presentation was delivered at the 20th NAKEM International Conference held at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa on November 21.
In addition, Dr. Lopez served as a moderator in one of the parallel sessions during the opening program and facilitated the plenary talk on Mother Tongue-Based Multilingual Education on the final day of the conference.
