Ladawan

The Ladawan name seems the best and appropriate name for this club, because the word ladawan is an Ilocano word for pictures or images, since in arts, students will learn and develop their talents and skills in sketching, drawing and painting. Art is one way to express an opinion, emotion, feeling, or taste, through visual means, for instance, painting, sketching and drawing. Learning in the arts takes several forms. Through arts practice students learn to develop ideas by drawing upon experience, exploring feelings, observing and researching. These processes may require the development of imaginative and creative solutions or a sensitive understanding of particular conventions and constraints, depending upon the nature of the arts activity. In order to communicate ideas, students learn the elements, principles, processes and techniques as well as the cultural and aesthetic values associated with specific arts forms. They also learn how different arts forms can be presented in a collaborative way.
